Schwielowsee-Tour 2008

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

Last Monday (Pfingstmontag) I took the chance of excellent weather plus a very motivating display of oldtimers at the MAFZ in Paaren/Glien to take my Suzuki ‘Susi’ Bandit on tour though Brandenburg to the nice area of Schwielowsee (south of the map) not far from Potsdam. The tour is roughly 120km long and (more…)

Panometer in Dresden

Wednesday, December 12th, 2007

Ljubljana

Sunday, July 1st, 2007

I had the chance to visit the city of Ljubljana last week for a few days. This is a very nice city with bustling activity in the old town all night long. Seems, that most of the 200.000 citizens meet there each day to have a talk and some nice beer and/or food. If you go there then have a visit to the Castle and its tower when the weather is nice. The view is awesome around when visibility is good. When I would go there another time I would also explore the surrounding countryside and its mountains.

Africa

Wednesday, June 20th, 2007

What a time … this year a did a holiday like never before: Going through East Africa by truck with a group  of other crazy people for three weeks. This overlanding travel “vacation” in Africa has been most astonishing – a most impressive holiday where I met a lot of nice people and got a glimpse of the hard live on this beautiful continent. Still need time to let all the impressions sink in. Here come a few for a start:

First motobike tour this year!

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

On the last Sunday I made a motobike tour to and around the Schwielowsee (see below), which is a lake somewhat near the city of Potsdam in the area of Potsdam-Mittelmark. It was a very nice trip with many bikers on the road during the whole tour (~80km). On the way from home to there and back I crossed the Spinnerbrücke, this time the first time with my “Susi“.
